Fabric Fruit

I LOVE my fabric pears. They sit in a basket in the middle of my kitchen island. They add a little touch of personality to my kitchen. Starting this blog has really motivated me to finish some projects that float around in my head or on “to-do” lists and I’m so excited about it! I finally finished adding two more pears to my basket. So now it is a full basket. Let me know what you think of my cute pears!

What you’ll need:

  1. At least 3 different patterns of fabric (between 1/8 – 1/4 of a yard of each)
  2. White thread
  3. Stuffing
  4. Neutral colored felt (about one 8×10 piece)

First, cut out 6 pieces of the pear. (2 of each different pattern or however you like)

Sew the together in groups of three with right sides together.

Sew the two halves together leaving about a 1.5 inch hole.

Turn right side out and stuff it FULL. Hand sew the hole shut. Roll some felt into a stem and hand sew to the top of your pear. Add a leaf as well.
